Abstract

Francisco Rdiger ao longo do livro As teorias da comunicao constri um panorama crtico sobre algumas teorias da comunicao no campo social e filosfico. O autor transcorre sobre os fundamentos da teoria da comunicao, examina a Escola de Chicago, bem como os paradigmas funcionalista e materialista. Ao chegar Escola de Frankfurt concentra-se mais em Habermas. Por fim, conclui o livro discorrendo sobre o paradigma midiolgico contemporneo e seu impacto na comunicao e na sociedade.Throughout the book As teorias da communicao (the title in English means Communication theories,) the author Francisco Rdiger, builds a critic overview about some Communication theories in the social and philosophical fields. The author goes by Communications theory fundaments, examines the Chicago School, as well as the functionalist and materialist paradigms. Once approaching the Frankfurt School he focuses more on Habermas. Finally, he finishes the book discussing the mediologic contemporary paradigm and its impact on Communication and society.
