HISTORIC-CULTURAL THEORY: IN SEARCH OF CATEGORIES TO EXAMINE LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENTS
Abstract
It is acknowledged that collaborative research aims at contributing to its participants learning and development. However, one of the main difficulties of a researcher who focuses attention on students learning is to find analytical categories that meet her or his research objectives more precisely. The purpose of the study is to present and explain some of those possible categories, having as a basis the historical-cultural theory assumptions, particularly those from Vygotskys studies (1988; 2000; 2001; 2005).
