Achievements, Problems, Tasks and Prospects for Development of Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine
Abstract
Conceptual basis for Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine activity which were determined by academician V. I. Vernadskyi, importance of the Library 100-years accumulated experience in keeping and studying of manuscript and book heritage, scientific and informational activity in the field of librarianship in Ukraine, parameters for formation and using of VNLU electronic informational resources, special place and role of Ukraine’s largest library in formation of an integral national scientific and information space, its strategic tasks and priorities in providing the needs of the national science, education, culture, management, political and legal, social and political development, innovative forward motion of Ukraine as a sovereign European state are under consideration in the article.
