The player of volleyball must be ready to carry out a large quantity of leaps per games, perform very quick displacements, and go over distances in repeated interventions with violent changes of direction and abrupt stops. The majority of actions are accompanied with jumps, these short and intense efforts are performed with the involvement of the neuromuscular system and the energy anaerobes mechanisms,mainly the |alactácido|. The work that is presented here shows the study carried out to the athletes from the Pinar del Río school teamat ages 13-15 years, with the objective to know their physical-functionalfeatures. To meet this goal scientific methodsfrom theoretical and empirical levels, like documents revision and measurement, were used which allowed proposed objectives fulfilment. The obtained results offer a group of important about morpho functionalfeatures of the studiedathletes which will facilitate valuable information to the trainers that will orientate the work of the training program.
