The enunciative punctuation and the narrative instances in children texts of different genres

Based on an interactionist perspective on Language Acquisition, this article investigates the use of enunciative punctuation signals in news, experience reports and stories produced by a child girl, trying to highlight their role in shaping narratives instances. The texts were produced from 6 to 10 years old in school and home environment and the analysis is quantitative and qualitative. Results show that over time the use of these signals diversifies and intensifies in all genres and that it is related to the narrator and character configuration. Moreover, some of them indicate the child’s return on her own saying, featuring a listening position, which is related to the author instance.
