Purpose: To study the effects of 48 weeks eprosartan therapy on left ventricle (LV) geometry and function condition.Materials and methods: investigate 34 patients with arterial hypertension 1-2 stage with LV diastolic dysfunction. All patients randomized in 2 groups. Patients in either group received eprosartan in dose 600 mg p/day monotherapy, in other group – 20 mg 2 p/day nifedipine. Results: At the end of therapy in group with eprosartan occurred reliable normalization geometry end effective tendencies of normalization of diastolic function, at the same time change in other group were non reliable.Summury: Thus eprosartan is high effective remedy for prevention of HF in patient with arterial hypertension.
