Space as a key category of architectural theory

Abstract

This article analyzes the spatial representations from the standpoint of an interdisciplinary approach. Along with the views of theorists of architecture, the author reveals the contribution to the realization of the essential characteristics of the space representatives of such fields of knowledge as geography, psychology, art history, philosophy, and cultural studies. Consideration of space from the standpoint of various scientific disciplines and allows schools to empower its study.
