The aim of our work is to find out level of somatic development and motor performance of students of the 1.st year-class of FCHPT STU in Bratislava in five years period in years 2011 –2015 (1881 womenand 797 men). We used standardized test battery to recognize motor performance. Comparison of the motion efficiency testing results we used the test of statistical significance of differences in mean values of the significance level p-value<0,05, in program Statgraphic (One Way –ANOVA). Based on the resultsof measuring the levelof somaticdevelopment, we found out that thebody heighthas stagnatingtendencyfor both menand women categories. Body weighthad astable levelin men until 2014, butitsvalueisabout5 kghigher than thepopulation average. Thewomen hadbody weightexceptin 2014rising trend.Bothin menand womencategory in 2015 significantlyincreased body weight. Observingbody mass index(BMI) we found out a significant increase invalues onlyfor women. The relativevalue ofthebody fatin both men andwomen category atapproximately the same levelwithout significantdifferenceindexBMImorethan menbut thevalue of body faton the other handtheywereworse. Inthe test resultsof motorperformance, we found out significantlylower levels ofaerobic endurancecompared tothe first measurementin 2011, both menand women. In the case of speed-power capabilities ofthe armsand torsoas well as for the dynamicforceabdominalandhipmuscles we can ́t confirmincreasing or decreasing tendency. From ourresearchit is clear thataerobicenduranceis the abilitywhich has decreasing trend from year to yearfor both menand women category.
