The authors analyze the Russian modern poetry and note the substantial changes in the poetics - the genre instability, new trends of the sound arrangement, and the obvious changes in certain lexical and semantic ranks. The hypothesis of lyrics monologization occupies an important place in the article. It implies a reduction of colloquial style of speech, a tangible transition of lyrics to the nonverbal level. In particular, the authors conclude that that author’s identity in the modern poetry changes, and consequently the problems, which poets set themselves, change too. The author’s reasoning and conclusions are based on analytical publications of the recent years and accessing the works of famous and little - known modern poets.
