“Porque há sempre um pouco de arte na Revista” – e de história, e de política...
Abstract
The revue theater took over the stages in Rio de Janeiro and reigned sovereignly as the most popular of the theatre forms for almost a century. As so, it faced social and political changes, always using laughter as a mediator. This lines shed light on the text Rumo ao Catete, written in 1937 by Freire Júnior e Luís Iglezias, in order to discuss some aspects of the coup d ' état led on by Getúlio Vargas.
