Research of Aviation Electric Arc and Short Circuit Damage and Protection
Abstract
Aviation electric arc and short circuit may lead to irreparable loss. It is of great significance to study the harm of aviation electric arc and short circuit and its protection measures. The typical 115 V/400 Hz three-phase AC electrical circuit of civil aircraft is built in the laboratory, and the metal conductor is selected as the surplus. The test method is used to study the electrical arc and short-circuit fault of the aircraft, verify and analyze the working characteristics of the traditional thermal circuit breaker, and confirm the harm degree of the electrical arc and short-circuit fault to the electrical circuit and equipment; at the same time, analyze three kinds of better electric arc and short circuit protection method. The results show that the traditional thermal circuit breaker can only protect the short circuit fault, but can not protect the electric arc; three new protection methods arc detection and protection time is too long, and the arc has damaged the conductor and equipment products irreparably.
