A mezzo secolo dalla scomparsa di Umberto Nistri

Abstract

Nella letteratura fotogrammetrica mondiale, due sono i nomi di italiani intesi senza ombra di dubbio come pionieri di questa disciplina: Umberto Nistri ed Ermenegildo Santoni. Forse il primo è più noto, essendo il suo nome legato all’avvento della fotogrammetria analitica: il primo restitutore di tal tipo è infatti opera della statunitense Bendix, per la parte elettronica, e della O.M.I. di Roma, fondata per l’appunto da Nistri nel lontano 1924, per la parte fotogrammetrica. The first maybe is best known, his name being linked to the advent of analytical photogram-metry: the first plotting instrument of this type is in fact the work of the U.S. Ben-dix, for the electronic part, and the OMI of Rome, founded by Nistri precisely in 1924, for the photogrammetric part.
