DIMENSÕES ECONÔMICAS E CLASSISTAS DOS CONFLITOS SOCIOAMBIENTAIS ENVOLVENDO POVOS TRADICIONAIS NO BRASIL
Abstract
This article discuss the rights of traditional folk in Brazil, especially regarding the recognition and titling of their territories, contextualizing them in the midst of the historical struggles for land in the country that involve other segments of the working class. The article is part of the results of a research project on socioenvironmental conflicts carried out through the Scientific Initiation Pro- gram. Methodologically the information comes from bibliographic and docu- mentary research - the latter with data collected in the FIOCRUZ (Oswaldo Cruz Foundation) Conflict and Environmental Injustice in Health Map in Brazil and FASE (Federation of Organs for Social and Educational Assistance). The fundamental result of our reflections shows the participation of the Brazilian State in the process of obstructing access to legally established rights for this part of the population.
