For the problem that it is difficult to separate the lubricating oil from the natural gas in the devices of offshore oil and gas platform, the performance measurement devices of gas-liquid coalescence filter elements were established in the laboratory and the offshore platform, and comparative tests were carried out for the filter elements from different manufacturers at home and abroad. The results indicate that the filtration performance of various filter elements is affected by the particle size distribution of droplets. Therefore, blocking effect of small droplet and prevention of secondary droplet release should be considered in the filter element design. In addition, the test results of the laboratory and the offshore platform are in good agreement, and under the high pressure conditions, more liquid can be captured by the domestic filter D, which could replace the in-service filter element to meet the requirements for lubrication oil separation and recovery.
