In this article we analyze the Colônia Conceição Settlement, as far as infrastructure that the settlement families created and reorganized during the 34 years from the creating of the settlement (1985 to 2020). We seek to understand the compositiong of the lots, the strategies thay they find to remain in the place, especially, the permanence of people with 60 years or more in the activity of production. For the data research, we realized enterviews recorded with 22 settled and searched the data in associations of the settlement, in City hall and in INCRA/MS, building a qualitative study, aimed to presente the way of living in the place. The resoults show reconstruction in the composition of the lots, which initially housed 373 unities with people living and producing. In the year of 2020, we found settlers in 230 unities, and in 143 lots we noticed no residentes, their áreas were attached in others for the comercialization, or when the beneficiares died and/or their children left. Among the 230 lots with settled, 128 are ocupied with people with 60 years or olders, showing that they live old age in a place that the day a day of work needs physical effort, although theur forces decrease, they make that place a space for living life.
