Highlights Computed tomography scan images could be used for body composition analysis after processing. The fat area greater than 330.08 cm² at the 12th level of the chest was considered visceral obesity. Ovarian cancer patients aged ≤ 65 years with visceral obesity were more likely to develop postoperative complications.
