The objective of this research is to show the impact of the socio-productive projects of the irrigation system concerning their incidence in the agricultural economy, focusing on the importance of these social projects as they seek to improve the living conditions of those involved. Based on these criteria, different scenarios of irrigation systems are addressed as an alternative for socio-productive projects to improve the agricultural economy in the Province of Chimborazo. The study population includes a number of producers and the applied methodology is inductive–deductive using specific premises to reach a verifiable conclusion. The observation was also applied to describe and explain the behavior of the events of the studied phenomenon, applying a model Econometric, which is a simplified representation of the relationship between two variables which allows for making empirical estimates by making predictions about the future value of the variables, for which the equation of the line was used. Its high ratio through R² sampling error and how this affects the increase or decrease in the marketing income variable in relation to the production level per crop hectares were determined. To conclude, it is a rural development strategy to implement socio-productive projects since it produces a favorable multiplier effect with respect to the agricultural economy and improves the living conditions of families.
