International Criminal Courts
Abstract
A modern means of criminal international law to protect human rights from serious violations is the international criminal courts.The International Criminal Courts are the courts established under an international treaty between the United Nations and the Government of the State in which the international crimes have been committed. It is composed of mixed bodies of local and international judges and has jurisdiction within the State where serious violations of human rights and international humanitarian law have taken place. The Authority has the right to try serious crimes such as genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes
