ABSTRACT Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is a subtype of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) that usually presents with a disseminated disease at diagnosis. Despite that in MCL involvement of multiple extranodal sites is frequent, urinary system is rarely affected. In NHLs, kidney involvement is usually due to direct tumoral infiltration or due to the development of glomerulonephritis, being membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis (MPGN) the most common cause of nephrotic syndrome in these cases. Herein, we report a patient with MCL who presented at diagnosis with an acute renal failure, haematuria, and nephrotic syndrome due to both MPGN and tumoral infiltration. To our knowledge, the association between MCL with both tumoral cell infiltration and MPGN has not been reported before. Patient’s renal function improved and both haematuria and proteinuria resolved after receiving immunochemotherapy for the MCL.
