Properties of pellets made of desintegrated phyto-raw-materials
Abstract
The utilization of wastes and the so-called phyto-raw-materials is a new problem spheres of energy production. The progress in phytoenergetics could considerably affect the course of prices of fossil fuels in future. The contribution deals with the utilisation of wooden wastes and fast-growing plant mass in the production of fuel pellets. The waste from various fast-growing plants was subjected to breaking, grinding and sieving. The grained material was pressed into pellets under various values of pressing power. After determining the densities of pellets, its dependance on the value of pressing power was observed. The obtained relation can be applied for determining the pellet density for the commercial production of fuel pellets.
