Who was to blame for the accident in the Colectiv Club? Who profited most from the accident?
Abstract
The analysis of the public effects of the Colectiv Club accident (since last autumn) shows that there is a considerable impact of mass-media on the public perceptions, in cases with highly emotional development. Our analysis, on opinion polls, shows that media agenda had influenced a lot the perception about who’s to blame for that tragic accident. When an important event is publicly debated, this debate can influence the public perception – for example, after one month, has increased a lot the number of people that blamed all the politicians and the Government for this accident, after that theory was presented a lot in the media. Also, after that accident, the change of the Government was seen as a normal decision.
