The study of ichthyofauna from complex lakes Gorgova-Uzlina was undertaken in October 2004, using two complementary methods of sampling: electric fishing for shoreline and gillnet fishing for open water. The biodiversity index and equitability indicies were calculated per lake and methods. The complex waters shelter a richness fish of 27 species, with 4 exotic and 23 native species. The most abundant fish species are Rutilus rutilus (roach), Alburnus alburnus (bleak), Rhodeus amarus (bitterling), Leucaspius delineatus and Perca fluviatilis (perch) with slight differences for those two complementary methods of sampling. The complex lake has a very stable ecosystem, with shoreline (2,37 Shanon-Wiener index and 0,745 equitability indices) more stables than open water (1.627 Shanon-Wiener index and 0,534 equitability indices).
