The research was carried out in the Colina Farms dendrological nursery. A number of 140 ornamental dendrological species were tested by grafting. The selected species were Robinia pseudoacatia 'Umbraculifera', Acer campestre 'Globosum', Acer platanoides 'Crimson Sentri', Gleditsia triacanthos 'Sunbrust', Ulmus glabra 'Pendula', Tilia tomentosa 'Silver Globe', Carpinus betulus 'Fastigiata'. The purpose of the research was to assess the grafting method with sleeping buds and see if positive results can be obtained. For this reason, equal number of 20 species were grafted. Of the species mentioned above, each responded positively to the same procedure, with the exception of Ulmus glabra ‘Pendula’. From the results obtained it could be concluded that the multiplication of dendrological plants can be achieved with this method of grafting, which is generally a simple method, efficient and last but not least fast.
