ENTRE LA CONQUISTA Y LA CONSOLIDACIÓN FRONTERIZA: DISPOSITIVOS DE PODER HISPÁNICO EN LOS BOSQUES MERIDIONALES DEL REINO DE CHILE DURANTE LA ETAPA DE TRANSICIÓN (1598-1683)
Abstract
El periodo que va de 1598 a 1683 está demarcado por una serie de acontecimientos que permiten discriminarlo como una etapa particular en el proceso de la relación interétnica que se gestó al sur de las aguas del Biobío. Proyectos de control de naturaleza diversa, emanados de grupos tan dispares como el estamento vecinal-militar y la orden jesuita, conformaron una red de tensiones que se manifestaron en dispositivos de poder contradictorios entre sí, aunque orientados por vías divergentes a un mismo fin: el dominio de las parcialidades reche-mapuchesThe period between 1598 and 1683 is characterized by a series of events that permit to separate it as a particular stage in the interethnic relationship process that developed at the south of the river Biobio.
