« La France en flammes » : comment l’anthropologie made in Brazil peut aider à comprendre la France à l’ère de la « schismocratie »
Abstract
This article proposes to reflect on the tensions between the principles and values of the French Republic and Enlightenment, such as « equal dignity », « cartesian reason » and « universalism », and other political and moral grammars, such as those of cisma [schism], « inquisitorial » and « moral substance characteristic of worthy people », more common and explicit in the Brazilian interactional and institutional universe. Using a comparative and ethnographic approach, we ask to what extent the theoretical, analytical and ethnographic contributions of Brazilian anthropology can help to understanding the phenomena of split and fracture at work in French society in recent years
