Abstract | Full Text

The project was structured in four stages, the general research objective being: to develop, manage and implement a model to achieve economically, socially and environmentally sustainable companies, through diagnosis, problem analysis, generation of solutions and implementation programs, addressed to the cheese and milk sweets Micro, Small and Middle Enterprises (MSME) of the Jalisco Northern Highlands region. The project execution time was two years; the first stage´s objective was “Managing and adapting the innovation model to achieve competitive companies with low environmental impact”. Information was collected on the economic and administrative aspects of the dairy MSMEs of the region under study, in the three levels of government. The standards were reviewed in state and federal agencies, SSA, STPS, SEMARNAT, SEMADET, SE and SHCP. The companies’ classification was considered according to the standards of the “Ministry of Economy” (SE). The instruments for the management of the technological innovation model (including the presentation, awareness and initial training) for the study companies were elaborated. In the second stage, the comprehensive diagnosis of the companies and the analysis of the problems under a systemic approach were carried out, considering all areas and processes. In the third stage, the programs were developed and adapted considering the possible technology and infrastructure changes, prioritizing the organizational and administrative improvements that did not require a high economic investment. Finally, in the fourth stage the implementation and evaluation of results were made in two companies during four months, covering all the strategic areas in each type of company and considering the regional and national context for the companies. A systemic model was structured, that when implemented in MSME of milk sweets and cheese can modify their competitiveness and sustainability.
