The Nuremberg trial represented a sort of rebirth after the destruction and the brutality of the war. It was established with the purpose of punishing those who had committed such atrocities and to create an international court that would prevent their re-emergence. The article has two parts: The first briefly discusses the general characteristics of the process. The second, focuses on the trial against the the Nazi leader, Hermann Göring.
