This work is devoted to the question of whether there are trends of degradation in the sphere of morality of modern man and society. Various trends, sometimes new to morality, that bring certain negative changes to its internal content are consistently presented. The main goal: to identify the features and specifics of destructive tendencies that contributes to the dispersion of morality as an Autonomous phenomenon, as well as their analysis. Methodology: this work uses dialectical, comparative, analytical and ethical methods of analysis. In addition, elements of religious and psychological approaches were applied. This set of methods and approaches allows us to study in detail and consistently the destructive processes caused by various phenomena and ideas applied to morality. As a result of this research, the author comes to certain conclusions: 1. Targeted advertising as a social phenomenon, with elements of fetishism, symbolism and necrophilic tendencies, identifies a thing with virtues. 2. Dogmatism in modern forms of morality is aimed at becoming conformism, but has nothing to do with the provisions of morality. 3. The edifying character of modern morality is initiated for the formation of the concept of «normal morality», which is essentially meaningless and speculative. 4. Apologetics in the field of morality is both a symptom and a process that turns the immoral into something morally sanctioned. 5. Materialism of morality involves the creation of a system of market relations, where the substitution of values and concepts, sadistic and necrophilic tendencies prevail. 6. The commercialization of morality is a symptom and process of creating a situation in which the dominant principle of relations is commodity exchange and the primacy of the quantitative over the qualitative. 7. The compensatory character of modern forms of morality is initiated to create a convenient morality. 8. The utilitarian character of morality is necessary in order for it to be used, accessible, and meet the whims of everyone. 9. Popularization of morality turns it into a kind of outrage or attribute that hides the state of things, that is, a kind of style without content. 10. The «status quo» of morality is necessary for the affirmation of what is the object of moral criticism.
