Formation of environmental competencies of employees for the purposes of resilience and sustainable development
Abstract
The relevance of the issue is due to the strengthening of demands for environmentally sound behavior on the part of all subjects of society, including business, entrepreneurs, owners, managers and employees of enterprises, and public service bodies. Goal of the issue is to identify the possibility of applying a competency-based approach to the process of developing norms, rules and psychology of behavior, work skills and habits, and a way of thinking in the spirit of special and social justice among employees. Research methods include bibliographic analysis, comparative analysis, and modeling. Results. The study revealed the possibility and feasibility of using the Adapted 5-component competency model in the practice of developing environmental competencies among employees and managers of any organizations. Conclusions. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the comprehensive and interconnected formation of the entire block of basic competencies in people allows to achieve the goals of sustainable and balanced development to the greatest extent, taking into account social and environmental values.
