Abstract

According to the Tamil proverb “A Flame Lamp always needs a stimulus. Professor Subbu Reddiar lit a Saiva renaissance and performed dedicated service to Saiva Bhakti literature. He also delineated Manikkavasakar's concepts Mukti Neri, and Bhakti Neri and clarifies the truth simply related to the devotional norms. Cēkkiḻār praised the history of the 63 Nayanmars in his “Periya Puranam”. Manikkavasagar’s “Tiruperundurai” has been described in awe what the fears and anxieties of the enlightened one in worldly life with the spiritual acts. Manikkavasakar also explained the merits of the Shivaneri ideology. The shiva principles tell about the three malevolent things that a man should avoid. They are Anava (Pride), Kanma (Hypocrisy) and Maya (Illusion) prevalent among human beings and the darkness that lurks outside them. When Manikkavasakar moves towards Thiruvannamalai on a pilgrimage, Markazhi Monday comes with the divinity power 'Thiru' and the power of 'EM' (Individual) combined with the vitality of the genre 'Pavai'. Standing outside the perception of Manikkavasaka's Thiruvembavai, Professor Reddiar has highlighted that the worldly life is the union of Shiva and Shakti intellectually in his writings. Manikkavasakar sings and turns in heartfelt introspection, worshipping the Lord of Thirukovaiyar and making himself the lover of the Lord and the leader who wants to attain the bliss of the Lord's Thiruvadi. Professor’s views of the spiritual riches of the works of Manikkavasakar are admirable. Hence, the article elicits the chosen ideas of Saiva Poet Manikkavasakar from Subbu Reddiar’s perspective.
