Abstract

This paper reflects on the situation of research and highlights a series of problems that ravage the scientific community. The exposition is focused on the relevance of research in terms of education and ethical problems. Two main dysfunctions related to research are particularly dealt with: the limited support of public institutions and the interest of private institutions in programs with an added economic value.
