Harpacticoida (Crustacea, Copepoda) from caves in Bulgaria

Abstract

The paper summarizes the information concerning the distribution of the harpacticoid fauna in Bulgarian caves. So far, in 56 caves situated in four physiсogeographic regions are registered 35 species from 12 genera of the 3 families (Ameiridae, Canthocamptidae and Parastenocarididae). Of all the species found in the caves, 19 are stygobionts, 11 stogophiles and 5 stygoxenes.
