Impacto turístico del Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro de Bogotá
Abstract
Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro de Bogotá (FITB) is a great cultural event with international recognition held in Bogotá, Colombia. The main topic of this paper is to measure the impacts that the FITB has on tourist behavior based on the last celebrations of this event and the attitudes of locals. Previous studies about social, cultural and economic impacts were analyzed and they were complemented by the study that carried out with a sample of viewers (tourists) and interviews (festival organizers). In conclusion, Bogotá is a touristic destiny who takes advantage of FITB as an important opportunity to retain tourists interested in performing arts because they visit the city only one time. This advantage depends on quality improvements which tourist perceived around touristic products and services offered like: security, hospitality, environmental practices, mobility and connectivity.
