NUMERICAL INVESTIGATIONS ON PARTICULAR APPLICATION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC FORMING
Abstract
The paper deals with numerical investigations on some special application derived from electromagnetic forming, such as pulse magnetic compaction of powder materials. Based on finite element models, it is computed the characteristic parameters and quantities of the process, in order to identifying the possibilities to improve the efficiency. It is evaluated the influence of the thickness of thin copper driver and of the stored energy in the capacitor bank.
