El río Magdalena como guardián de memoria y árbol de agua de Colombia en Los escogidos y Grávido río
Abstract
Colombia is woven with rivers, but one vertebral river, the Magdalena, is imagined as a river of death on a social and environmental level. This article features reimaginings of the Magdalena in literature: as a guardian of memory of war, beyond a mass grave, and as a water tree that connects humans and ecosystems throughout the national territory. These spectral and arborescent imaginaries suggest that the renewal of ties with nature, both physical and symbolic, is key to sketch other possible futures in Colombia.
