La imaginación ética: Un análisis de Varia imaginación, de Sylvia Molloy
Abstract
El trabajo se propone leer Varia imaginación, de Sylvia Molloy, uno de los avatares del "giro autobiográfico" de la literatura actual, como escenificación de la eticidad de todo acto de "escritura del yo". Con ese fin, retoma la propuesta de Judith Butler en Giving an account of oneself (2005): un sujeto construye una narración de sí mismo necesariamente, atravesado por la eticidad que lo liga tanto al lenguaje que lo constituye, como a un otro que lo interpela. Plantea tres niveles éticos: ética de la forma, ética topográfica y ética interpelativa, para leer a Varia imaginación como una escritura que evade toda épica triunfal y muestra al yo fragmentado, haciendo de la experiencia personal un sutil acto político.The essay analyzes Varia imaginación, by Sylvia Molloy -part of the current tendency to the autobiographical in literature- as an example of the ethical nature of the writing of the self. To that end, it reads Judith Butler ´s theorizations in Giving an account of oneself (2005). The subject gives an account of himself necessarily determined by the ethics that bound him to language and to the other by whom he is addressed. The article explores three ethical levels: ethic of form, ethic of space and ethic of address. Therefore, it reads Varia imaginación as a text that avoids an epic of triumph and shows the self in its fragments because it transforms the purely personal into the subtly political.
