The stationary causes of night blindness (nyctalopia) –which are conditions in which the patients cannot see during the nighttime or without an adequate lighting– include, among others causes, the fundus albipunctatus with Lauber's hemeralopia or stationary albipunctate degeneration. The diagnosis in the consulting office of a patient suffering from this rare disease, which is little known and entails limitations in the patient’s social life, motivated this report.
