Current issues of Hrinchenko studies in scholarly publications: bibliographic overview in modern dimension
Abstract
The goal of the research. Based on a bibliographic overview of publications by Ukrainian scholars from 2019 to 2023, succinctly characterize the thematic focus of Hrinchenko studies and outline contemporary trends in the development of the main directions of Hrinchenko studies. Research methodology. The research methodology is based on the principles of historicism, objectivity, as well as on bibliographic, chronological, problem-thematic, and analytical methods. The scientific novelty lies in the analysis of the thematic spectrum of publications on Hrinchenko studies in the contemporary period, providing a concise exposition of their content in various scientific perspectives. This, to some extent, allows for an assessment of the current state of Hrinchenko studies and the contribution of educational institutions, research establishments, and individual scholars to its development. Conclusions. The scholarly research on the literary and journalistic works, ideas, public-political, and pedagogical activities of Borys Hrinchenko during the period of 2019-2023 was conducted by experts from the educational sphere, historians, archivists, and library specialists. The results of their work were actively disseminated both in dissertations, monographs, scientific collections, and in individual publications in periodicals such as the Ukrainian Historical Journal, East European Historical Bulletin, the electronic specialized journal Synopsis: Text, Context, Media, Kyiv Historical Studies, Education Studies, and others. The volume and diversity of the issues within the informational flow on Hrinchenko studies in the modern period highlight the need for the creation of a separate bibliographic guide - Hrinchenko Studies.
