Introdução às redes eletrônicas de comunicação
Abstract
Introdução às redes Bitnet e Internet desde as origens e características dos serviços e ferramentas nelas disponíveis. Objetiva-se alertar profissionais em geral quanto à crescente importância dos novos recursos para acesso à informação. Comenta-se a implementação de conexões brasileiras a essas duas redes, com descrições breves sobre a Rede Nacional de Pesquisa (RNP) - o braço da Internet no Brasil. Introduction to the communication eletronic networks Abstract An introduction to the Bitnet and Internet networks beginning with their origins and charactenstics of the services and tools available. The goal is to alert information professionals to the growing importance of the new resources for the information access. The implementation of the Brazilian connections of these two systems, with short descriptions of RNP/National Research Network- the Brazilian Internet backbone, will be commented.
