In the course of the study, recommendations were proposed aimed at increasing the efficiency of the activities of penal inspections in the execution of correctional and compulsory labor. Conclusion. It is concluded that the main difficulties in the execution of the considered types of punishments lie in the difficulty of finding employment for convicts sentenced to correctional labor and insufficient control over the performance of compulsory labor by convicts. In order to resolve them, it is recommended to make changes and additions to the relevant regulatory legal acts.
