Abstract

The word ‘ecology’ refers to surroundings. The environment of organisms is based on the environment in which they live. The ecological complexity that man is currently facing, is terrible. It is the study of ecology about the relationship between plants and animals and the environment in which they live, has come across many barriers more than before and is threatening the present existence of the entire planet. One can see the consequences of this, such as unprecedented floods, seasonal rains, and rapid migration of species. The human race has now begun to think about the rapid deterioration of the environment. As a result of this thought, the voice of protecting nature has started to brighten. They began to investigate what kind of place nature had been given to the people of this time. In Tamil literature, many records of ecology-based sources reflect Tamil society. Kulothungan is a famous Tamil poet who penned his poems with the thoughts and facts of ecology. Hence, this paper researches on the ecological concepts in the poems of Kulothungan and it can be passed on to today's generation to avoid ecological crisis.
