Analysis of job insecurity in catering sector

Abstract

Unemployment and job insecurity have become one of the most current topics in Serbia. The paper analyzes the perception of job insecurity of 100 employees in catering sector. The aim of the paper is to determine whether there are relations between the perception of job insecurity and demographic variables: gender, age, education level and type of employment of respondents. Results show that there are no statistically significant differences concerning gender, age and level of education in the sample examined, but there are statistically significant differences in the perception of job insecurity, depending on whether it is a temporary or permanent employment.
