This paper analyzes the insertion of Ecuadorian products like bananas, cocoa and flowers to the international market in the period 2010-2014. The objective stated in this study is to analyze the positioning of the products in the world market and the efficiency of these products. As main conclusions it can be mentioned the following: first, bananas have experienced a loss of efficiency in the world market because it has ceded market share since 2012. Second, Ecuadorian flowers have shown a growth of exports and also in its global market share. However, its growth has been slow and as a consequence its insertion in the global market is situated between optimal and missed opportunities. Third, the Ecuadorian cocoa, out of the three analyzed products it is located in the best position in the global market due to its efficiency. The market share of this product has grown year by year and also its export value.
