Evaluation of PM10 particle pollution in an urban area of ​​the municipality of Ocaña

Abstract

The concentration of particulate matter suspended in the atmosphere, less than or equal to 10 microns (µm), is evaluated. For this, three high volume samplers (PM10) were used. This research concludes that the national road within the urban area of ​​the Municipality of Ocaña represents a risk in the increase in the concentration of particulate material, in the same way, the lack of traffic control or its conditions, causes an increase in the respective pollutant. One of the measurement points of the national highway is classified as a Marginal Area, which measures must be taken to control the levels of contamination that allow the reduction of the concentration of contaminants or that at least keep them stable.
