With the aggravation of environmental pollution, the accumulation of heavy metal ions in various water resource is causing serious damage to human beings, so the detection of heavy metal ions is very important. Compared with other traditional methods, electrochemical method has the advantages of simple, sensitive and quick response, and its detection performance mainly depends on the performance of electrochemical sensor. Graphene is a kind of carbon nanomaterial with excellent performance, which has the advantages of high specific surface area and strong electrical conductivity. Modification of graphene on electrochemical sensors can significantly improve the performance of sensors. In this article, we introduced the use of graphene and its derivatives modified electrodes, including reduced graphene oxide (rGO) and graphene quantum dots (GQD), graphene aerogels (GA), full advantage of all kinds of materials and devices are introduced in detecting performance, aimed at offering guidance for the future preparation of electrochemical sensor based on graphene and its derivatives.
