MÉTODOS DE ENSEÑANZA PARA LA PREVENCIÓN DE LA HEMORRAGIA POST PARTO. EL MANEJO ACTIVO DEL TERCER PERÍODO DE TRABAJO DE PARTO

Abstract

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar métodos de enseñanza para prevenir la hemorragia post parto, tales como el manejo activo del tercer período de trabajo de parto y el uso de útero-tónicos. Ello responde a que la hemorragia post parto es la causa directa principal de muerte materna en países en desarrollo. Por ende, prevenirla constituye una estrategia de importancia crítica para reducir la mortalidad materna. ABSTRACT The objective of this article is to analyze teaching methods to prevent postpartum hemorrhage, such as the active management of the third period of labor and the use of uterotonics. This is because postpartum hemorrhage is the main direct cause of maternal death in developing countries. Therefore, preventing it is a critical strategy to reduce maternal mortality.
