Abstract

Virtual organizations constitute a temporal form of dynamic cooperation of entities, undertaken for a specific purpose. A virtual organization possesses specific properties (e.g. openness, partnership, knowledge sharing, flexibility, trust) which determine its potential for innovation. Modern IT tech-nologies (e.g. offered as part of the cloud computing model) may be a factor which additionally supports the innovation of a virtual organization. The paper indicates the possibilities of supporting the innovation of a virtual organization through IT technologies available in the public cloud compu-ting.
