This article presents the results of a study of the microstructure and density of the material obtained after molding a mixture of powders of copper and titanium. Scanning electron microscopy indicates a slight deformation (mainly in the elastic region) of titanium particles and plastic – for copper grains. Scanning electron microscopy and density measurement results indicate the presence in the powder body of the volume occupied by the pores. The process of pressing a copper-titanium system is well described within the framework of a mechanistic model.
