Through the methodization of the contents and the teaching of the History of Cartography, Jaime Cortesão fabricated a narrative and a pedagogy of Brazil's national territory evolution, which joint in the same role Alexandre de Gusmão and Rio Branco. This fabrication served to rescue the role of Brazilian diplomats in the invention of the Nation and to the recomposition of brazilian foreign policy after the Second World War.
