The aim of this study was to evaluate the behavior of the chlorophyll and N content in the development stages of maize. The experimental design was randomized blocks in subplots. In the plots were evaluated in the chlorophyll content development stage V3, V4, V5, V6, V7, V8, V9 and V10. The highest value for chlorophyll was found in V7 while the lowest value was found in V3. The stage of development V7 shows the highest value for reading of chlorophyll. However, the measurement of chlorophyll content should be done in all stage of development of maize
